What it does: This program converts a TACLog Call/Locator '.C_W' file into `Tucnak` format.
Why?
There is no doubt about it! TACLog is feeling its age. `Tucnak` (by OZ1ZIA)
is the 'new kid on the block'. It is intended for linux systems but a Windows version is available (implemented using the Cygwin libraries).
`Tucnak` is a re-write of TACLog; retaining the unique features and key-stoke mappings but incorporating many other wonderful things as well.
CCG converted from TACLog to Tucnak for the 2009 Contest season. We will not be looking back!
[See the pages on the CCG website
and the `Tucnak` Wiki for more details.]
You will need a working installation of PERL (on any operating system) to use this program. I may produce a Windows executable if there is demand.
This source code is freely available under the Free Software Foundation GNU Public Licence.
(tac2tuc.pl is also distributed bundled with the linux version of Tucnak. Look in "/usr/share/tucnak2".)
I trust that you find it useful.
Tip: tac2tuc.pl MUST be run in a DOS box/Command shell (W9x, WinNT, Win2K, WinXP/linux) against a PERL installation > v5.5. Run the program with no arguments for 'Usage/Help'.
